Architectural Advancements
Iron aloud for architects to expand there creations with buildings and bridges to allow for more people and more space.
Iron helped create city's. When Andrew Carnegie started to invest in iron, his name and his business made iron more popular. Carnegie built a bridge out of iron, but people where still skeptical about iron at the time. There was a rumor that an elephant wouldn't go across a bridge if it wasn't safe. The elephant crossed the bridge with out any second thought. That made people really trust iron. That's when the cities started to rise. Wood can only go so high with out ca-lapsing. Iron allowed for cities to build up rather then more. It allowed for an increase of population. Cities became more crowded. It wasn't only used for buildings, it was also used for art. Iron was easily molded into a form that an artist would want. Like the Effiel tower today.
